Offering Drillco’s line of round adjustable dies, proudly made in the USA. These dies are used in machining and metalworking to create external threads on a cylindrical base such as rod or pipe. They feature cutting edges on the inside of the form which is then adjusted to the desired diameter/thread offering a flexible solution for those projects in the field with limited resources.
Once the die is selected, prepare the workpiece ensuring it is clean and lubricated to reduce friction. Align the die, turning clockwise with pressure until the desired thread length is reached. Occasionally clear any chips to ensure threading is consistent. Lastly, the threads can be inspected with a mating nut to ensure proper fit.
