Round plate washers, or Dock Washers, can be easily confused with flat washers as they visually look the same and are both constructed of low carbon steel. The difference between the two is found in an oversized outside diameter (OD) offered by the round plate washer for increased load distribution. Much like round malleable washers, they too are often used in wood applications to help prevent screws or nuts from pulling in and through the soft wood. We offer round plate washers in plain finish as well as hot dipped galvanized finish for better corrosion resistance.
