Tap Bolts

Tap bolts are hex head bolts with a fully threaded shaft, sometimes referred to simply as full thread hex bolts. There are countless applications for tap bolts, but more often than not, a secure connection will require a nut on the far side of the material. Many projects will prefer a bolt that is fully threaded, such as a tap bolt, to reduce the risk of bending or shearing under pressure. The tap bolts allow the load to be shared and more evenly distributed along the entire length of the bolt.

Fasteners Etc., Inc. offers both a low-grade steel option, A307 grade A, as well as a medium strength steel option, grade 5. Tap bolts are available in a variety of finishes to suite your corrosion resistance needs and project requirements.
