Hex cap screws feature a six-sided head and either a fully threaded or partially threaded shaft. The hex head style can be fastened with a wrench or socket driver, enabling high strength tightening and extra secure connections. They can often be fastened with or without a hex nut. Hex head cap screws are used for projects across virtually all industries, from machinery to construction to agriculture and more.

Fasteners Etc., Inc. supplies grade 5 hex cap screws that meet industry standards for ASME B18.2.1, offering minimum tensile strength of 120,000psi. Hex cap screws that are grade 5 strength can be easily identified by three lines on the bolt head, manufactured from medium strength steel. Hex cap screws, grade 5 are available in plain steel, zinc, or zinc yellow. We also offer stainless steel hex cap screws for even more corrosion resistance as needed for marine or chemical environments.

Fasteners Etc., Inc. offers the metric equivalent hex cap screw constructed of medium strength steel, class 8.8.
