Flange bolts, also known as flange screws, feature a standard hex head with a permanent flange beneath it that acts as an attached washer to the threaded bolt. This design allows the flange bolt to distribute more weight and increase the strength of the connection without requiring a separate washer. The flange also increases the bearing surface to prevent pull-through.
