The ASTM A307 tap bolts are manufactured from low carbon steel and provide low to moderate tensile strength of 60,000PSI. They are suitable for general applications that do not require heavy strength bolts, and therefore are a cost-effective option. Most applications require a nut on the far side of the components to fasten in non-critical applications. The A307A Tap bolts are available in plain steel, zinc and hot dip galvanized to offer increased corrosion resistance for harsh environments.
