The Grade 5 tap bolts are manufactured from medium carbon steel that is heat treated offering a tensile strength of 120,000PSI. The tap bolts, grade 5 are common in the construction, automotive, and machinery industries for their increased strength and reliability. Most applications require a nut on the far side of the components to fully secure the connection. The grade 5 tap bolts are available in plain steel and zinc offering an increased corrosion resistance.
