Our #6-40 x 3/16" Set Screw, Cone Point offer a strong permanent connection with superior holding power as the cone shape acts like a wedge against the far side of the material. Unlike standard screws that feature a head and threaded shaft, headless socket set screws consist of a fully threaded shaft designed for flush installation. This design is ideal for mechanical assemblies with tight space constraints, such as securing a pulley or gear to a shaft, as the screw sits flush or just below the surface once the appropriate torque is applied.
