Our #6-32 x 3/8" Set Screw, Full Dog Point are best suited for permanent connections only. Unlike standard screws that feature a head and threaded shaft, headless socket set screws consist of a fully threaded shaft designed for flush installation. This design is ideal for mechanical assemblies with tight space constraints, such as securing a pulley or gear to a shaft, as the screw sits flush or just below the surface once the appropriate torque is applied. Black oxide is standard and readily available, offering a minimally protective layer.
