Self-Tapping screws are offered in 3 types: A, B and AB. The type B self-tapping screw is distinguished by deeper threads than those of Type A, and a similar sharp pointed tip. These self-tapping screws are best suited for thin sheet metal, hard plastics, or other dense material.
