Our #4-48 x 1/4" Set Screw, Oval Point are ideal for those connections that require adjustments with limited damage to base material; best suited for installation into a U or V shaped groove. Unlike standard screws that feature a head and threaded shaft, headless socket set screws consist of a fully threaded shaft designed for flush installation. This design is ideal for mechanical assemblies with tight space constraints, such as securing a pulley or gear to a shaft, as the screw sits flush or just below the surface once the appropriate torque is applied.
