Flange bolts have a standard hex head with a ‘flange’ beneath which extends out acting as an attached washer to the threaded bolt. This design feature allows the flange bolt to distribute more weight when being tightened, further increasing the strength of the connection without requiring a separate washer. All available grade 5 flange bolts are serrated, if your project prefers non-serrated, please reach out for a quote. The tensile strength of grade 5 flange bolts match that of standard hex cap screws for a minimum of 105,000PSI for large diameter and 120,000PSI for small diameter bolts.
